presentation

During this symposium, we would like to cross approaches from computational neurosciences and bio-inspired AI/robotics, with links with cognitive development, and art.
The event aims to foster interdisciplinary discussions on consciousness focused on the relationship between cognitives sciences, neurosciences, and AI.

In an era where Artificial Intelligence — particularly Large Language Models — plays an increasingly significant role in our lives, exploring the intersection between different fields is is not only timely but also essential.

We would like to highlight the theme of modeling and understanding consciousness and general intelligence (AGI).

What are the missing mechanisms of Artificial Intelligence and, what are the missing mechanisms of Natural and Biological Intelligence? What about Body Intelligence?

The lineup of speakers in this event includes distinguished experts from diverse fields, including Art, Cognitive Sciences, Neuroscience, and Computer Science.

current invited speakers (more to come!):
  • Muray Shanahan Professor of Cognitive Robotics Imperial College London Google DeepMind
  • Rufin Vanrullen research director, Artificial & Natural Intelligence Toulouse Institute CNRS- (CerCo)

This event is organized jointly by the the "AI and Cognitive Sciences" working group of the national association CogGames,

Laura Cohen, Alexandre Pitti, Nicolas Spatola, Rufin Vanrullen

and sponsored by the DIM C-Brain, the PEPR Organic Robotics, and ETIS lab.

This is the fourth event of this type by the ETIS laboratory. The last two events were in 2019 (https://neurodevrob.sciencesconf.org/) and 2023 (https://neurodevrob23.sciencesconf.org/) on the themes of dynamic systems and language, development, neurosciences and robotics.
